Monthly Peace Challenge: Quote This

bannerWe heading into the last quarter of the year of Blogging for Peace. When I think back on all the posts and all the positive energy that Bloggers for Peace has brought, I am truly grateful. I feel like we have brought peace to each other. That is the first step to peace on earth. Thank you for all the peace you have shared and spread.

To help inspire the Bloggers for Peace (B4Peace), we will have a Monthly Peace Challenge. To participate, tag your post with B4Peace and make sure you copy your URL to the Linkz collection. Anyone who completes all twelve Monthly Peace Challenges will receive a Free B4Peace T-shirt.

I love reading an in-depth post on peace, but sometimes I need a quick fix. At these times I love seeing an inspirational quotation posted in an artistic manner. For this month’s Peace Challenge, I challenge you to post a quotation that will bring peace to the world.

Quotations can be:

  • book quotations
  • poems
  • sayings
  • song lyrics
  • mantras
  • personal sayings
  • scripture
  • movie lines
  • anything you heard, read, saw, or created

Feel free to put the quotation on a fancy background to attract readers. Let’s inundate the internet with a peace collage of powerful words and images.

For those of you who remember having to get up to change channels on the television and who can’t get modern day remotes to even turn up the volume, Rarasaur gave me the link to a great website that makes beautiful quote images. Quozio.com is easy, fast, and FREE. Give it a try.

Don’t forget to link to at least one other B4Peace post and add your post to the Linkz collection. Here is how:

  • Copy your URL to the Linkz collection. You’ll find the link below. It’s the drunk blue frog smiling for peace. Click on it and follow directions.
  • Go visit this site to read and comment on other posts related to this Monthly Peace Challenge.

  1. This is beautiful, Kozo. A love the mental image of a peace collage. 🙂

  2. Melanie says:

I can’t believe we’re in the ninth month already.

    • Melanie says:

For probably the first month ever, I’ve actually finished my post on the first. I’m not publishing it until the 11th (tease, I know), but it matters to me that 1, I am actually finished with it, and 2, 9/11 matters for publishing a peace post.

      • Kozo Hattori says:

Great point, Melanie. It completely slipped my mind to mention 9/11. I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing. Can’t wait for your post. {{{hugs]}} Kozo

      • Melanie says:

I’m gathering posts to link to in the meantime, but even re-reading it today, I feel pretty confident my measly 176 word post is complete.

    • Kozo Hattori says:

Crazy, huh? A few more months and Free T-shirts!

      • Melanie says:

Can I request you donate the cost of my t-shirt to a peace cause? I’m not doing it for the shirt, and it’s kind of hanging over my head and making me feel guilty about accepting it.

      • Kozo Hattori says:

No, Melanie. You can donate to a peace cause, but I beg you to accept the peace t-shirt. It is a gift from me to all the wonderful bloggers who participated for an entire year. Please accept this t-shirt like an olive branch. Plus, what will you wear to the B4Peace party? 🙂 {{{Hugs}}}} Kozo

      • Melanie says:

Good point there. I plan, of course, to wear my boots, but I suppose social decorum requires I put on clothes to go with the boots.

  3. Quozio.com is great! Thank you for letting us know about it.

  7. You and everyone who visits your site I find so very very inspiring, I wish I knew how to link and add Bloggers (B4Peace) on my site. I can’t even make my “add a link” button work on my site when creating a blog (my lastest attempt looks terrible). Please know that I support you all 100 + + +!!!!!!

  8. Hi again!!! My Hubby Adam West showed me how you correctly use the link button and how to use Quozio.com OMGosh! It’s awesome!!! I’m going to let him rest and then make him show me how to add B4Peace on my site. LOL!!!!! I’m a challenge when someone tries to teach me computer stuff!!!!!

    • Kozo Hattori says:

      1G4AW, Here are the instructions:
First, right click on the badge on my site and “save image as…” on your computer.
Next, you need to upload it as an image in your media file as if you were going to put it in a post. I see that you have images on your site, so it is the same process. Go to Dashboard>Media>add new. Upload image from your computer to wordpress–it is probably in your downloads folder.
Then add the “image” widget to your sidebar–dashboard>appearance>widgets>drag image widget to sidebar.
Then you go back to the media and click on edit next to the badge. You will get a “file URL” on the right.
Copy and paste that in your image widget where it says “image URL.”

Let me know if you have any questions. {{{Hugs]}} Kozo
