Monthly Peace Challenge: Party On, Garth!

banner

Hurray! This is the last challenge of the year. Those of you who have been here since January have one more post to get your FREE B4Peace T-Shirt! I will continue posting challenges next year for a different prize (to be determined), but this challenge ends an incredible first year of Bloggers for Peace. Before I give you the challenge, I want to thank everyone who participated in B4Peace this year. I can honestly say that you brought more peace in my life which means you brought more peace in the world. Special thanks to Rarasaur who designed the B4Peace logos, badges, and T-shirt (hint, hint).

After last months challenge of loving thy enemy, I want to give you a party.  So this months challenge is to plan a party that will ripple peace to the world. Use everything in your imagination for this peace party. Here are a few ideas:

  • You can hold your party anywhere. Where would you host your peace party? How many people would be at the party?
  • You can invite any guest you want from the past, present, or future. Who will play music at the party? Who will contribute artwork for the party? Who will give speeches?
  • What food can you serve that would bring peace in its consumption?
  • What about a group activity at your party? Would you have everyone at the party participate in one action for peace?
  • Feel free to use images, videos, or music in your post to give others the idea of what your party would be like.
  • What combination of events, people, and place would bring about the most peace at your party? What if you had Bob Dylan perform a duet with Ysuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens)? What if you had a panel on compassion featuring Jesus, the Buddha, Muhammad, and Mother Teresa? Let your imagination run wild for peace.
  • What would you have at your party that would bring more joy, smiles, love, and peace into the world?

Don’t forget to link to at least one other B4Peace post and add your post to the Linkz collection. Here is how:

  • Copy your URL to the Linkz collection. You’ll find the link below. It’s the drunk blue frog smiling for peace. Click on it and follow directions.

I feel a little sad that I wasn’t able to keep up throughout the entire year but I’m back and will contribute as best I can. THANKS so much to everyone who set this up and everyone who has participated. I do believe that we make a difference. Namaste.

DIANNE GRAY!!!!! Oh, how I have missed you. Hope the writing in the nook is going well. Can you believe it has been a year since we came up with this idea? Thank you for this year of growth, peace, and friendship. {{{hugs]}} Kozo

Congrats Kozo on a whole year of promoting peace. Peace be with you, now and always.

  4. I was only able to do a few of the Blogs for Peace this year, but I will try much harder in the coming year. I believe in peace and want peace in the world, but I’m not too sure how to get it, except for peace in my life and my little corner of the world. If we each could do this, we might have peace in the world.

Yayyyy, a party! 😀 I’m pretty excited for this t-shirt design as well, ha! 🙂 I guess now it’s time to decide what it’ll be, right? 😀

    What a wonderful challenge… opportunity!

I read your November post, and really liked how it evolved into a love letter. It was so insightful, and right on the mark. Reading it was transforming for me. Now, the post of the feast. What a logical delight!

    Thank you.
    xx

  11. I didn’t discover your wonderful blog until this fall, but I have written a blog 4 peace every month since then, Actually, peace and environmental stewardship are the two main topics of most of my blogs anyway. I would like to use your blogger 4 peace idea and start a blogger 4 the environment group too.
In the meantime, I love this month’s challenge and i will surely participate.
Thanks for spreading peace in your readers’ hearts and, of course, the world.
    Peace and love,
    Jan

What a great idea! I hope you don’t mind that I took creative liberties and turned mine into a party celebrating the achievement of world peace instead of an event to create it. I hope you and yours have a peaceful and joyous holiday season.

  13. Rock on! B4Peace lives on inside each of us and those we touch. Thank you and your readers (writers) for touching my heart and teaching me so much about myself and how I perceive the world around me. {{{HUGS}}}

    Thank you Kozo ❤
These challenges are odd. I've not been best keen on many of them; and writing the posts is like pulling teeth. Challenges indeed! But once done, they turn out to be some of my best articles.
So thank you for making us shine a light into places we'd otherwise avoid. This has to be lifting the planet’s vibration 🙂 (((((Kozo))))) ✧.¸¸.✰
love Shanti (real name, Jas was just made up.)

    • Shanti Baku says:

      * that really needs a comma or a new paragraph after ‘love’, doesn’t it?
      LoL
      x

    • Kozo Hattori says:

Thanks for taking the challenge and following through, Shanti. I hope I didn’t cause you too much stress and discomfort. haha. Can we call it “necessary suffering”? Yes, I believe that we are making a difference. I was just on vacation visiting cities I used to live in, and I did notice that things were more peaceful than before. Call me delusional, but I could feel it was true. {{{hugs}}} Kozo

  17. Shanti Baku says:

Agony! And all you can do is laugh.
But yes, in retrospect, I can see that any suffering was necessary; and could be blamed on no-one but myself.
Good that you saw your old haunts as more peaceful than before. They’re not separate from your mind are they; so far from being delusional, that indicates you’re more loving and wise than before.
Good on you Kozo! Hope the magic works on us all :~)
