Biggest Hypocrite Blogger Award

hypocrisy award

I am such an ingrate. Even though I post five things to be grateful for each day, I still take things for granted. Case in point, blogger awards. I have been so busy with Bloggers for Peace that I have not reciprocated on no less than 10 blogger awards. Thanks to Rarasaur for hitting me in the head of how important blogger awards are. It’s hypocritical to try to recruit members of Bloggers for Peace while ignoring these special awards and the amazing bloggers who nominated everydaygurus (EG). I am going to adjust the rules, however, so I don’t bore you to death.

The Wonderful Nominators

beautiful-bloggerThe lovely Sarah from diary of a house elf nominated EG for a Beautiful Blogger Award. Sarah’s blog makes me laugh, cry, smile, and tingle. Check out her latest post dedicated to her father to get a taste of her wonderfulness. Domo Arigato, Mr. Robato, Sarah.

Bodhisattvaintraining from Down Under also nominated EG for this award. Annie is an amazing woman, mother, daughter, and blogger who has close ties with the Dalai Lama. Not only that, she lives in Australia and has a keen eye for photography. Check out this post to see what I mean. Annie also nominated us for the Shine On Award. Terima kasi, Annie.

liebster-award1Tracy nominated us for the Liebster Award. Many of you already know Tracy from FEC-This since she guest blogged for me a few weeks back. Tracy is a survivor, and her main weapon is a positive attitude. If you are ever feeling sorry for yourself or need a change of attitude, just check out her blog. Merci Beaucoup, Ma Chere, Tracy.

shineon versatilebloggernominationsAlison fromAdventures in Wonderland nominated us for both the Shine On and Versatile Blogger Awards. Alison and Don travel around the world and take incredible adventures and photographs. Try a taste of India here. If you want to change your life, check out Alison’s seven interesting facts here. Namaste, Alison.

Reality Blogger AwardDave from The Groovy Gazette nominated EG for the Reality Blog Award and the Shine On Award. Dave is one groovy guy with a ton of wisdom. Check his blog out for peace, music, baseball, stocks, and the power of intention. Sound impossible. It’s not. Check it out. Mahalo, Dave.

inspiring bloggerKylie from The Life of Kylie nominated EG for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Kylie is a Freshly Pressed blogger who blogs about everything, but always brings beauty, humor, and wisdom to her readers. Check out her heart-warming tribute to her friend Heather. Grazie, Kylie.

Wonderful Readership AwardGlorious Mettle nominated EG for the Readership Award. I first noticed GM on other people’s blogs because she was so generous with her comments. She definitely deserves the Readership Award. Her blog is just as generous as her comments. Check out her incredible jewelry, artwork, and photography. Obrigado, Glorious Mettle.

I’m going to combine all the personal questions into 7 things about me.

1) I love Apple computers. I once bought 300 shares of Apple stock when it was $10/share. Everyone had given up on Apple, but I had faith in the core beliefs of the company. Last year, Apple reached $660/share. Unfortunately, I sold the lot at $22/share.

2) If my life was a stock, it would be selling for about $10/share. Many of my friends and family have given up on me, but I have faith in my core beliefs. And like Apple, I’m getting better and better everyday.

3) Three of my good friends have drowned while surfing big waves. Rest in Peace, Todd, Donnie, and Mark.

4) My father-in-law is a Qigong master who can make light come out of the tips of his fingers.

5) I once crashed my car on the freeway because I INTENTIONALLY went to sleep while driving–I realized that the elevated markers that lined the freeway were meant to wake up sleeping drivers, so I went to sleep figuring that the markers would wake me up when I needed to steer.

6) The only summer camps I attended when I was a kid were at the Institute of Buddhist Studies where we chanted and meditated three times a day in seiza position.

7) Even though I’ve spent half my life studying all different kinds of martial arts, I’ve lost every fight I’ve ever been in. Guess, I’m a lover, not a fighter.

CONGRATULATIONS! You did a great job putting this together, which is hard to do.

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

    • Kozo says:

Thanks, Francine. You must have done something similar to recognize how hard it is to make a link heavy post like this, but I’m sure you will agree that it is worth it to pay respects to friends in the blogosphere. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

  2. You are definitely not a hypocrite from what I can see. You speak it, and you do it. That is as honest as it gets. You provide a great example for others, I would definitely buy your stock at $10, maybe even $15. Kozo, you make a difference.

    • Kozo says:

Thanks, Jonathan. I hope to repay your investment in time not in stock returns, but in joy, peace, and equanimity. Had a great read on your blog this morning, but I couldn’t comment. Just wanted to let you know that I am looking in the mirror for light every morning thanks to your post.

      • Kozo, I am working on fixing the problem right now. I am turning off the captcha because it obviously isn’t working very well. I would love to hear your comments. Its funny, I usually get a few comments a day, and the last few days I haven’t gotten any. I thought I was just writing uninteresting stuff. Motivated me to try harder. lol Thanks for reading.

      • Kozo says:

        Jonathan,
This is why I wanted to comment, because that post was brilliant–pun intended. You don’t have to try harder because you are in the flow. Can’t wait to read more. I’ll let you know if I have any more troubles commenting. Great “seeing” you this morning. Hope your day is full of light.

  3. Dave says:

Congratulations! You are indeed making a difference for a lot of people, and most deserving of these awards.

You’re not a hypocrite at all. You’ve been busy for a very worthy cause with benefits to many. With all of that, you took the time to acknowledge the awards bestowed upon you, now.

All of it in good time as you see fit.

    Peace

  4. Alison says:

Hey! Well done you! You finally did it!
    Thanks for your kind words.

  5. Dawna says:

Thank you SO MUCH for the award and the kind words, Kozo! I am honored to be one among this list of wonderful bloggers. I will “wear it with pride” and will cruise around the blogosphere to take a peek at everyone else’s blog. (I do so coming across more like minded individuals.) Blessings to you and yours. May you have a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

    • Dawna says:

Annnnd… because I am harried this morning and have not had nearly enough coffee, I did have to post another reply because I brainfarted and did not say so previously… Congratulations to YOU for receiving the awards yourself in the first place! You ARE an inspiration. I am blessed by your starting Bloggers for Peace, as are others, I’m certain. ❤

    • Kozo says:

Yay, Dawna. I really spent a lot of time on those links because I wanted to share you guys with each other–hope that makes sense in more than a perverted way. 🙂
May your day be full of light. Thanks for commenting and blogging. I love reading both.

  6. Great post, nice to show others some blogger luv.

  7. Wow! well done. I have yet to do mine too 🙂

  8. PaulaB says:

Thank you, I have another I have been pondering over. So I believe I will tackle the dragons {serpents again} together…as ONE….;-) eventually. Rarasaur TOO got me to thinking … rotten Rarasaur, I was merrily ignoring them…umpf

    • Kozo says:

Damn, Rara. That pesky dinosaur. You better not read her latest post on sugar.
      Congrats Paula. I didn’t want to burden you with award responsibilities, but I did want to link to your blog so others can enjoy. {{{Hugs}}}

      • rarasaur says:

I only nag because I love you both, haha!. 😉 *hugs* Oh, and I spy/stalk for that very same reason.. 🙂

      • Kozo says:

Rara84 is watching. Cross your ts and dot your eyes. I feel like I’m being stalked by a Raptor. haha
Thanks for keeping us in line, Rara. We love you too.

  9. WOW. That’s an impressive amount of awards! Congratulations! You have definitely earned it!

    • Kozo says:

Thanks, Tasha. It is a long list of awards because I have been putting off accepting them for over a month. 😦
I was going to let them fade away, but then Rarasaur made me realize how important it is to spread the love. I can’t wait to get to know you better. Cheri speaks highly of you, so you have great credentials. 🙂

  10. JackieP says:

congratulations Kozo! All those rewards are well deserved! Also, thank you for nominating me! I truly appreciate it! I’m glad you enjoy my little stories. 🙂

  11. You are such a sweetheart. 🙂 Everyone loves the Happy Panda!

    • Kozo says:

The panda makes me smile every time I visit. Thanks for the smiles. Look forward to more in 2013.

      • P.S. Your Q&A’s almost made me cry. Several times. I’m sorry to hear about your friends. May they rest in peace. You gave me the nudge I needed to finally share the full story on how/why I chose “CardCastlesInTheSky” as my blog’s name. 😉 I was hesistant but for you, I’ll do it. 🙂

      • Kozo says:

Thanks, DDIW. I look forward to reading your post. My friends died doing what they loved. Another friend at the funeral of Donnie told me, “Donnie had done what he needed to do on earth. Now he is in a better place.” I believe this with all my heart. Thank you for empathizing. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

      • That’s true. All things happen for a reason. At least that’s what I believe. 🙂

  12. Omgoodness!!! Thank you!!!!!! I’m all smiles now!!!!

  13. theINFP says:

Thank you for nominating me for the Liebster Award, Kozo. In true INFP style I feel I need to keep my ego in check and at the same time I’m thrilled to have made an impression, ‘nuf said.

    • Kozo says:

I hear you, INFP. I felt uncomfortable publishing a post that said look at all these awards, but Rara was right: it’s not about me, it’s about the nominators and nominees. Besides, in my view, we are all One, so any award given is an award received by everyone.
Notice, I have to work overtime to keep my ego in check. haha.
      Congrats, INFP.

  14. diannegray says:

LOL! Love you too, Kozo! I’ve been very slack with my awards and still haven’t had time to catch up. Kudos to you for going through each one (I think it may take me a week to do this)

Congratulations on the plethora of awards!!!! I loved your answers to the questions (still can’t believe you fell asleep on the highway!)

{{{hugs}}} to you, my friend. The world is a far better place with you in it.

    • Kozo says:

Haha. Dianne, sometimes I think I post just to get a comment from you. I love hearing from my friend down under.
I thought this post would take me a week. I had like 15 windows open trying to keep track of who got/gets what. It was worth it though. I went to give you an award and saw a list of writing awards as long as my blog. haha.
Yes, like you with your accidents, I’m lucky to be alive. I haven’t always made the best decisions.
Thank you so much for being a loyal friend. Got a post coming your way. Keep an eye out. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

  15. What a wonderful acceptance post. You may have started something with the title though 🙂 Don’t be surprised if it pops up in the blogosphere.

Thank you for lavishing me with those kind words. Dang, Google translate isn’t giving me a thank you phrase in Portuguese I like Lol…Você é bem-vindo Kozo

    • Kozo says:

Obrigado, GM. I hope people don’t get the wrong idea about the title. I bet I’ll get nominated for the Biggest Hypocrite Blogger award in the near future. haha

  16. Kylie says:

Congratulations for all the well-deserved awards, and thank you for the kind words! Really thoughtfully done post.

  17. Dearest Kozo ~

Deep Kudos to you for bringing together all of us onto this one page… Your appreciation expressed with such sincerity is your Love that you pour into your blogging ~ Thank you! I thank you for the Reality Blogger Award nomination – and I appreciate deeply what you mention about my blog.

I see various dimensions of the blogging experience for me. There is the very rewarding social networking aspect – I love to connect with all those who visit my blog and then I get to enter into their world for a bit by visiting their blog. I share their life for a time and perhaps find a way to express my support with a comment, a “like” or by following their blog. This is also the aspect of the Awards that Rarasaur mentions very prominently. We are a community and we support each other in various ways. That is a beautiful part of blogging for me.

Another aspect is my initial intent: to open up what it is that moves me, that is my passion, to the public, and when doing that I see more of myself and understand more of myself. In the comment exchange I often find myself going deeper into some understanding and I am often catalyzed by comments to take a second, deeper look. This aspect is where I see my blog as my journal which helps me in my development.

Then there is the fun aspect, not to be underestimated! When the blogging “requires” something from me that is not my joy, I ignore it as my priority is to go where my joy is. I, as well, have yet to be struck by lightning because I ignored the present accepted conventions of blogging. This, for me, means that I pour into my blog my joy and my passion for what is most important to me, and I know that that is what others get out of my blog: my joy and my passion. Of that I want to give freely.

This is the time for each of us to trust that by following our own inner priorities: “Follow Your Bliss” – that we will change our world to a world of Peace, Love and Prosperity.

In closing I want to thank you for initiating B4Peace – it is going viral, at least in our sector of the Universe! I appreciate how much energy and activity it takes to keep up what you have designed. I am happy that Cheri has now joined in the admin part with you.

    Much Love,
    Tomas

    • Kozo says:

      Dear Tomas,
Thank you for the comments. I totally agree that if we follow our bliss, we will find peace. If you ask me, everyone’s bliss is in connections with others or their godliness.
I also agree with you about the different aspects of blogging. I feel blessed to have stumbled upon blogging because now it has become one of my most enjoyable activities.
I look forward to more B4Peace posts from you. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

  18. sofiasiberia says:

      • sofiasiberia says:

        Thanks, Kozo!!!

Hahaha yesterday when i clicked on your post to get my award and read the title, i was like Wow! this is like the coolest award ever! 😛
But then i realized you nominated me for something else, and was like, ah ok )) that’s very nice of you, but ‘hypocrite’ idea was a blast, i actually prepared to feature this logo! 😀

I’m done posting my new articles and still have a bunch of people i have to notify of their awards 🙂
Very happy for your job on B4Peace sites! Will check that out!
        Huggggs to you too!!

  19. oliviaobryon says:

Thanks for the kind recognition! I’m admittedly guilty of the same hypocrisy in passing these along, but I am grateful and humbled to receive. 🙂

  20. Deep bow Kozo, thank you xx

    • Kozo says:

You are welcome, Annie. I mean that in every way. You are always welcome here, Thank you for the kind nomination and for being one of my dear friends from Down Under.

      • Take care my friend – don’t wear yourself out in the pursuit of peace…the friend here who started the local meditation flash mob movement is looking to hand over the reins after a year of lots of work!

      • Kozo says:

        Annie,
I never heard of the mediation flash mob, but I just looked it up. What a great idea.
I really appreciate you looking after me. You and my wife have warned me multiple times already not to burn myself out. Luckily, #sit365 forces me to take at least 30 minutes each day to recharge.
Thank you so much for being such a caring and empathic friend, Annie. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

      • That’s my pleasure (((((Kozo))))) – yes the sit will help for sure 🙂

    • Kozo says:

Haha. Sunshine. LOL. I often feel the need to break the equanimity to the positive side. Does dancing count? I’ve seen the Dalai Lama laugh his a** off, so I guess that is ok. Thanks for spending an equanimity break celebrating with me. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

  22. rarasaur says:

Hurrah!!! I love this post and I already avidly follow almost all the bloggers that you mentioned, but it’s nice to see the in a big, glorious list of love! 🙂 Congrats on your awards, Kozo!!

I have one other request of you and that’s to please avoid big waves and/or falling asleep at the wheel because your life isn’t stock at $10 its priceless and the world would be a sad place without you. Much love and big hugs coming your way, your friend in the UK, Tracy 🙂

    • Kozo says:

I get sleepy on the road also, but intentionally going to bed while driving is really radical! You must have a lot of faith in the big guy to save your ass, can you still claim anyone giving up on you? I’d say you have an army of guardian angels protecting cause you’re our MVP blogger and the world still needs you! Next time guzzle coffee and red bull like the rest of us, lol. – Love Maddy

    • Kozo says:

You’re right, Maddy. I can no longer claim people have given up on me considering the company I share online. You guys are amazing.
I have wondered if someone was watching over me, because as you can see, I’ve done some STUPID things and come out pretty intact.
Thank you, Maddy, for making me realize how lucky I am to be alive with friends like you. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo
p.s. That is like four hugs I’ve given you today. Lucky me. 🙂

    Take care!

  29. I believe I told you somewhere in this post’s comments section I’d do this.
